how to discriminate a possible virus incoming email

Several times even the paid antivirus aren't updated with the most new viruses and network attacks. As result many of new users become victims of viruses that came by email! and are activated by their own action! But how to discriminate if an email is suspicious or not?
Follow these steps and you will be bit safer:
- never open attachments of emails from persons you do not know!
- never open attachments of emails from persons you know but you do not expect this kind of attachments.
- never open attachments with extension .exe, .com, .bat.

What happen if the incoming email seems to be from my Bank, Tweeter account, Facebook...
In case of links in the body of the email... there is a very easy way to find out if an email is fake or not. Many fake emails are pretending that came from popular sites, banks etc, like the example above. It is very simple to check is the links are read or not (so if the email is fake or not). Leave the mouse over the link for some minutes. You will see a tip box where the real url address will be displayed. If the address in the tip is not the same and if the address in both places is not the real address of the sender... then the email is fake.

For instance, if the email is from info@apple.com, the links shows "http://www.apple.com/helpcustomer" and the tip shows "http://34.24.13.53/index.html" then the link is fake.

Bellow this email is seems to come from tweeter.com.... the links are look pretty well... but the tip show the real (and bad) url where you will go.

Thousand of people become victims of emails from banks where asking pin codes (for security reasons) because otherwise their bank account will be suspended!

Keep in mind and never forget... no one... but no one!!! from any site, service, bank, social network etc, will ask you private information by email. And no one will ask will ask ever your pin or password to enter it somewhere (by email or somewhere on the web).

Change password occasionally and check you accounts for also for any suspicious movemnts.

Zimbabwe makes arrest over Facebook comment

39-year-old Vikas Mavhudzi has become Zimbabwe’s first “Facebook arrest” after posting a comment on the social network on February 13, 2011 at about 2PM, according to New Zimbabwe. He is being charged with “subverting a constitutional government” for commenting on a Facebook page allegedly belonging to Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai. Here’s his message, according to SW Radio Africa:
I am overwhelmed, I don’t want to say Mr. or PM what happened in Egypt is sending shockwaves to dictators around the world. No weapon but unity of purpose worth emulating, hey.
The post was referring to the revolt in Egypt which succeeded in toppling dictator Muhammad Hosni Sayyid Mubarak on February 11, 2011 after 18 days of protests. Discussing uprisings against dictators in North Africa is now apparently considered a crime in Zimbabwe.
Police arrested Mavhudzi on February 24, 2011 after receiving an anonymous call that claimed he had sent a “security threat” via his mobile phone. Authorities then went through his phone and discovered the “offending” message in his sent folder.
Prosecutor Jeremiah Mutsindikwa accused Mavhudzi of “advocating or attempting to take-over government by unconstitutional means.” Mavhudzi briefly appeared before a city magistrate on March 3, 2011 and was remanded in custody until at least March 9, 2011 after the state opposed bail.

Massive earthquake hits Japan

Teenagers jailed for running “criminal equivalent of Facebook”

Three teenagers in the UK have been sentenced for up to five years in jail for creating and operating Gh0stMarket.net, one of the world’s largest English-language internet crime forums. The Gh0stMarket website, which had about 8,000 members, was dubbed by the court as the “criminal equivalent of Facebook”, or “Crimebook,” according to The Guardian:
In court, Tyrone Smith, defending, said the site was a “Crimebook” where people could learn and socialize. To users, Gh0stMarket appeared as lines of computer code and broken English. On the site hackers and fraudsters traded anonymously in compromised databases containing thousands of personal details including account numbers, pins and passwords. The site contained manuals such as “14 ways of hacking credit cards” and “running cards on eBay” and information on staying anonymous. It sold hacking software and instructions on how to manufacture crystal meth and explosives.

Christchurch earthquake

Jesus Christ!!! what happen to Christchurst!!!
2/23/2011: With hundreds still missing, and 75 already confirmed dead, rescuers struggled to find survivors on the second night after a devastating earthquake struck Christchurch, New Zealand's second largest city Tuesday. Buildings crumbled into the streets after the 6.3 magnitude earthquake, which geologists consider an aftershock to a 7.1 earthquake that caused no casualties in September. Tuesday’s temblor was more devastating and deadly because it was centered only six miles from the city's center and hit during the middle of a workday. The Government has declared a national state of emergency. Officials estimated there could be 100 people trapped in the CTV building alone.

New York Fashion Week: Behind the scenes

The first New York Fashion Week in 1943 (then called Press Week) was the world's first organized fashion week. It was designed to attract attention away from French fashion during World War II, when industry insiders were unable to travel to Paris to see the fashion shows. As fashion has evolved, so has the New York event, now branded Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and held in February and September each year. It's one of four major fashion weeks held around the world, along with London, Paris, and Milan. Each year, the 232,000 attendees at the two New York Fashion Weeks account for more than $466 million in direct visitor spending and contribute to $1.6 billion in annual tax revenue to the city's fashion industry. More than $40 million annually is spent on meals at local restaurants; nearly $30 million on taxis, Town Cars, and public transportation; and an additional $56 million at area hotels. This is a look behind the scenes, behind the fashion.
